Paris n' Jail

Well they told Paris Hilton she could go home last night from jail because of some Medical problem.Today the Judge sent her back to the pokey and Paris was weeping Crocodile tears and tellin' everyone "its not fair". Much to the delight of talk show hosts everywhere I might add. Can't wait to see Conan tonight.

Re: Paris n' Jail

What a horrible circus. Four major news networks were covering this all day. That's Headline News, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. This is a semi-famous, morally void, spoiled rich girl going on a 45-day cakewalk. Aren't there more pressing issues in the world?

Re: Paris n' Jail

I hate it when someone is famous because they're rich and slutty... sad really.

They should just lock her up and throw away the key, do us all a favor.

Re: Paris n' Jail

If the degenerate masses chose to follow her as some sort of slut goddess, then let them, but I geniunely thought the news networks were better than this. I am watching The O'Reilly Factor at this moment (on mute, mind you) and they are still covering it. It is my right as a US citizen to watch unannoying news if I want to. The stupidity of it all enrages me and sucks all hope I may have had for this country right down the drain. I'm going to turn of the television and try not to think about it, now, before I get an ulcer.

Screaming Paris Hilton Sent Back To Jail

...Crying out for her mother when she was ordered back to jail, Paris Hilton's cool, glamorous image evaporated Friday as she gave the impression of a little girl lost in a merciless legal system.

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was calm but apparently irked by Sheriff Lee Baca's decision to release Hilton three days into her sentence due to an unspecified "medical condition."

"I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions," Sauer said. "At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home."

...Assistant City Attorney Dan F. Jeffries argued that Hilton's incarceration was purely up to the judge.
"Her release after only three days erodes confidence in the judicial system," he said.

...Another of her attorneys, Steve Levine, said,
"The sheriff has determined that because of her medical situation, (jail) is a dangerous place for her."

"The court's role here is to let the Sheriff's Department run the jail," he said.

The judge interrupted several times to say that he had received a call last Wednesday from an undersheriff informing him that Hilton had a medical condition and that he would submit papers to the judge to consider. He said the papers never arrived.

Every few minutes, the judge would interrupt proceedings, state the time on the clock, and note that the papers still had not arrived.

The last attorney to speak was another deputy city attorney, David Bozanich, who declared,
"This is a simple case. There was a court. The Sheriff's Department chose to violate that order. There is no ambiguity."

...Seconds later, the judge announced his decision:
"The defendant is remanded to county jail to serve the remainder of her 45-day sentence. This order is forthwith."

Hilton screamed...

I can't wait for the movie!

Re: Paris n' Jail

Im really glad that the judge had enough of her shananigans for wasting time with this non existing medical problem, and instead of serving the shortened sentence, she's doing the full 45 days!!!!

I agree. They did this same thing when Anna Nicole died.

Re: Paris n' Jail

Lots of interesting points here. I, like Anuerysm, feel that there must be more important things going on in the world than this load of nonsense. However, Ms Hilton does have 'celebrity' status ( what the f*ck for exactly??) and therefore it becomes news, that may interest some folks. I have to admit to admit to a feeling of schadenfreude at the predicament of this pampered puppy. My personal take on it, is that she committed a crime, and was sentenced to a custodial sentence. Therefore she should get on with it. However it's the old story, that if you have the money you can buy your way out of a jam! Well done to the judge for hauling her back to the poky, but how long before she gets out on another 'technicality'?

Re: Paris n' Jail

I have plenty of freude, but very little schade for her predicament. Yes, she is a celebrity, for some reason, therefore, it should have been one E! news(which it was) and not on four major news networks for, as far as I know, the better part of two days, maybe more. I applaud Jon Stewart for saying very little about this, and Stephen Colbert for not covering it at all.

Re: Paris n' Jail

If Paris behaves while in custody and gets the 1 day off for every 4 of good behaviour, Sheriff Baca reckons she would have just 18 more days left to serve.

Paris is famous, besides being heiress to, probably, the world's most famous hotel empire, because as such an heiress, she obviously orchestrated and starred in her own amateur porn video which "mysteriously" found its way onto the Internet. Spoilt rich girl turns into porn queen: there's her "celebrity".

Linda Lovelace should have invested in hotels, I guess, otherwise most of you would not now be asking, "Who the hell is Linda Lovelace?"

Speaking of Ms. Lovelace, there is a documentary of the film "Deep Throat" this week on channel 4, typical of their off-beat topics.
Latest word from Paris: She's asked her lawyers not to appeal, that she's learned a lesson and will just serve her sentence and said the media should focus on more important thimgs.
I agree.

Re: Paris n' Jail

I have no problem with the rich, but people like this, people with no class, no morals, who expect the entire world to cater to them and think there are no consequences to their actions, sicken me. They need to learn to behave like reasonable human beings and not be a burden on society. There are a lot of poor people like this, too, and I come from the part of town where they run rampant. People just need to get over themselves and be functional members of society.
