My child is scheduled for AUGUST 15th! whoo hoo! any dads? Any advice, tips, stories of preventing error?? I'm excited so you all will have to deal with my delighted ramblings of babies, lol, He's gunna be a Zeppelin fan, I can tell because he was kicking in beat with "Rock & Roll" the other day!....well almost. So yeah, yippee!

Melo has become a father recently, he can tell you a thing or two (and even three).

I've never had a son but I am a son and would like a son someday. I think I'll name him Craig.

Yeah BIG congrats old chap. Both my kids are now in their 20's but i look back with great fondness to when they were young.

Tips: Enjoy ever minute! Take loads of photos, and spend every minute you can with them.

Mark Dwyer ( another site member)'s wife recently gave birth,as did Melo's better half, so you'll be able to swap baby stories and yak about getting up in the middle of the night.

danka! it's going to be great we're having a shower thing tomarrow and I'm going to tell my wife what gender it is, she hasn't seen the ultra sounds, but i have! hehe! also i have a two weeks off! having babies are fun! (says the man, lol)

Congrats my friend. Tomorrow our little Annabelle will be a year old. Everything Eddy says is true. Good luck and most of all enjoy the moment. It really is special. The wife & I have been looking back at this past year all week leading up to her birthday tomorrow. At times its been a little tough but all in all its been the best year in my life. You can't even begin to realize how much you will love that little person. It truly is a miracle. You will never forget this time and you will be changed forever.

Sadly I have the 'running of the world' thing covered. I have cloned myself and I call it 'mini-grump'. However as one of my grand children you will be entitled to my book 'words of wisdom' and a choice of special toffees which I keep in a waistcoat pocket next to my gold watch...and no..you can't have the gold watch, that has already been promised in my will under special bequests.
