We all already know but it was on my news page.

Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour learned how to rock by copying the Beatles on a borrowed guitar.

Despite carving a niche in prog rock, Gilmour idolised the Fab Four and learned all of their early hits - after borrowing his first instrument from his next-door neighbour.

Speaking at the launch of his DVD, Remember That Night - Live At The Royal Albert Hall, the 61-year-old revealed: "I borrowed my first guitar of a neighbour and never gave it back. I've still got it actually.

"I was an enormous fan of the Beatles. I copied everything they did before I started creating my own stuff. I like to have been in the Beatles. They did well."

what the hell?????
Im confused.

Um

WARNING
Anyway, tid-bit, when Frank first saw Alice Cooper play at some small club, everyone left because they were all hippies not digging the dark vibes. Frank was impressed and said, anyone that can clear a room that quickly has to be checked out. He invited them to play at his house tomorrow at 7. The Alice Cooper band took this wrong and came to the house at 7am, totally pissing him off in his robe and slippers cause he was like "I meant 7 PM!!!" Anyway that's the story how he helped launch their career.

Oh and around that time Pink Floyd and Syd made a stash of hash brownies and gave them to Vincent to do an Alice Cooper show tripped off his balls.
True Story

true, Alice Cooper interview for Q magazine about a month or so ago. He had a word on the Floyd in it for full story. Maybe it was just syd unknown to the rest of the band that did it and gave him one. I didn't buy the issue so I can't quote which page it was. Im sorry I didnt buy it now.
Well if its still doubtful, perhaps somebody's memory is far too fuzzy from copious amounts of substances to remember properly
