Re: Inspirational moments revisited

Tonight me and 4 of my friends sat around, after a few drinks and tokes, and played a folk song where 3 of us played guitar and we all sang "holy lord I found the buffalo, holy lord I found it" and it sounded amazing...it was quite a spiritual moment I must say.

Re: Inspirational moments revisited

I just saw what is possibly the coolest piece of installation/sound art I've ever heard. The artist took over an abandoned subway platform here in downtown Toronto, put giant subwoofers inside some empty train cars and played his own field recordings of trains through them. There were also vibrating soundboards in the ceilings, which made attached metal chains and bolts vibrate with infrasonic frequencies - supposedly a reference to the Zimbabwe Shona tradition of using subharmonic vibrations from M'bira thumb pianos to contact the spirit world. It was called Ghost Station.

Now I'm heading out again to see more free contemporary art.

Isn't it great?

Today, my foot (left, that is) went back down to almost normal size and for the first time in three months, I look like I have a matching set of feet.
Lame, I'm sure, but a large relief to me on more than one level.

Re: Inspirational moments revisited

It definitely wasn't/isn't fun.
And I now know for sure that people aren't lying when they say that it hurts incredibly bad.

Re: Inspirational moments revisited

I had one earlier while on LSD and blown away by this album.

Particularly 'Buffalo Ballet' brought tears to my eyes. Highly recommended.
