So am I.

I see no-one voted for Nick's car on Top Gear either.

At least Jeremy Clarckson called him a rock god.

So what does CBE stand for? MBE? OBE?

Re: David Gilmour: CBE

MBE = MEMBER of the British Empire

OBE = OFFICER of the British Empire

Sir David Gilmour should think his honour slightly cheapened since Sting also becomes a "Sir" and (hack, spit) Jamie Oliver (??!!??) gets an MBE. Jeez, whatever next?

Re: David Gilmour: CBE

Isn't the title truly useless? When was the last time anybody felt comfortable using the word "empire"? Doesn't it have negative connotations? Also, besides that tiny Atlantic island, where's the rest of the Empire?
