R.I.P Jeff Healey

died this past weekend at age 41 in Toronto from complications from cancer that blinded him at age 1...I'll let Botley fill in more details as I'm sure he's seen many a concert at Jeff Healey's Roadhouse down by the Skydome...

Yes indeed, and well before that when it was located on Bathurst street (very near my current residence). He was a true legend and will be sorely missed. A great performer with a unique feel for blues steel guitar second probably only to Gilmour, IMO. Also a champion for the cause of children likewise embattled by his affliction... see you down the road Jeff.

Re: R.I.P Jeff Healey

I too admired his prowess with his laptop guitar playing. Was much impressed.

RIP JH

Bummer.

I thought it was amazing how he could lay down those licks.

Too young to die...

Jeff

Jeff Healey dead at 41

Jeff Healey died in Toronto aged 41 last month. If one has not heard of him, I recommend starting here.

MOD EDIT: Yup, I didn't use the search function.

I was going to point that out, but then thought the better of it.

Y'know, I never knew Jeff (a.) was blind, (b.) played with the guitar in his lap...and he was in my "top 50 guitar players" list.

Amazing.

Stratface: This is completely unrelated to the topic at hand, but I have always thought that a fantastic name for a cat would be Chairman Meow.
