Oh no, NNJ, it's not like the pandas you may find in the zoo's over there who can't be bothered breeding. It's the cold Scottish air that gets them at it, that and the plentiful supply of whiskey..we are knee deep in Pandas over here..you can't turn round without tripping over them. Mind you, they are good at doing cheap plumbing jobs... but they are very aggressive!

I can't pronounce that many s's in a row, much less spell it.

Clarke was buried yesterday, I believe.

Re: Arthur C. Clarke has died.

Stuff I didn't know about Clarke:

He suffered from post-polio syndrome, and had difficulty with it for most of his life, sometimes needing a wheelchair to get around. He was also an avid diver, liking the feeling of weightlessness, and the combination of these two factors in part led to his living in Sri Lanka.

Re: Arthur C. Clarke has died.

Clarke was one of my favorite authors. Right now I'm on the third book in the Rama series.

"Childhood's End" is a classic and in my top 5 books.

Re: Arthur C. Clarke has died.

Gilmour: "Arthur, I want you to run up and down these stairs several times."
C. Clarke: "I'm afraid I can't do that, Dave."
