homemade RoIO greatest hits

Since I have a bunch of Pink Floyd shows that were "never officially released", I decided to make my own RoIO greatest hits CD using bootlegs that had the best sound quality (good soundboard recordings or excellent audience recordings).

Turns out I couldn't squeeze all my favs onto just one CD, so I made it a 2 CD mini box set. This is only for my personal use and mainly to take in the car with me when I'm traveling.

As you will probably notice, I'm mostly a fan of the "stuff" Pink Floyd did in the 1970s. I did include at least one earlier and one later song too. I know Raving and Drooling is out of order chronologically, but it fits best there.

Turned out to be fairly time consuming picking out the best versions of songs, doing the fades, and adjusting volumes to be similar. I tried to put a couple of songs from each of the major released albums and a few other goodies thrown in too.

Comments? What would you of done different?

After listening to the both CDs again, I decided the SOYCD 1-5 that I used wasn't good enough. Sound quality is lacking and it has a warble towards the beginning of the song. I'll need to find a replacement.

There are some real corkers from the Animals tour. Why not go with the Oakland arena version? Nice comp, by the way.

Yep, the Oakland Arena version of SOYCD is quite good. It was a toss up between that and the LA Sports Arena version. I flipped a coin and picked the LA Sports Arena version. I thought it was a little cleaner sounding to my ear (bass and drums not as boomy).
