OK. I hope the distinction cleared things up for you.

(I KNEW after that prior message that I'd punched the "send" button too soon...)

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

I didn't necessarily mean reunite creatively...I just think it would be good for them (all of them...not just Roger and Rick) to get together and play some of their old tunes.

Not to worry, FW! It was meant as a joke...

But, Driven, to quote it correctly, I said the emails should say "Gilmour is God", NOT "Gilmour is My God"...

Just remember what they used to say about Clapton, eh?

Right-Oh!

Cheers!

Where is Glastonbary?

It's pretty sad when bands start behaving like wrestlers. Is this or is this not WWF(architects) vs. WCW?(musicians) It sure seems like it to me. Sorry if I lost a few people there.

Life's too short to hold grudges until your dead. If I were rick i would've gone backstage at the ITF concert and I would had a conversation with Roger. Ya know, there's more to talk about in a conversation than what happened in '78-'79. They could of easily talked about politics, movies, theatre, and god knows what else. Although, I can't speak for rick because I have a very bold personality. And he seems more reserved, from what I've read.

Hey lusk i never said i didn't like Gilmour why be so volatile? Anyway everyone knows who pink really is. The writer who doesn't need his wifes help to make songs!

They were all left behind most of them dead the rest of them dying. And that's how the high command took my DADDY from me!

I'm sorry, I just won't tolerate that kind of talk about BDG.

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

I think you should all go back and re-read that page. It didn't say that Rog or anybody else would be playing as Pink Floyd. Also it didn't say that Waters and Mason would be performing together.

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

Madcap Diamond--he DID go backstage and chat for a minute with Mr. Waters. They didn't touch on any of the hard subjects and it wasn't long--but it was civil...even Mr. Waters agrees that it was civil. Though Mr. Waters wasn't too civil in his remarks AFTER the conversation, when he was interviewed by MOJO...I'm still gathering evidence, but I am wondering if he made a false statement about Mr. Wright.

If anyone was at the ITF concert in Atlanta and spoke with or observed Mr. Wright, please let me know...I'll have some questions for you.

Get the facts strait bucko. Polly helps Dave write the lyrics not the music. On the other hand if Roger wrote his own music, every album would musically sound the same just like The Wall and Pros and Cons and The Final Cut. It amazes me that people act like Floyd need Roger. Judjing by album sales, I think they're doing fine without him.

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

Eug'axe, I wouldn't quite say that...I think that as Mr. Waters has been forced to develop his musical side more, he is getting better at it, though his arrangements are still (and always will be) far more simplistic than the subtle layering that Mr. Wright does.

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

I don't think Roger writes all of his music anyways. He doesn't like giving anyone credit for what they did. He would probably say, 'Yeah, I wrote Amused to Death all by my self.', when obviously he didn't. He never wrote the music to any of his albums by him self.

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

I agree that he denies credit to people...but HOW can we prove it?

BTW--I have always liked how careful Mr. Wright is with the credits. THAT is how a real GENTLEMAN handles things...

Re: The ringing of the division bell...

Mr. Wright is very clear about it whenever anyone else deserves credit for something in one of his works.
