Re: STRICTLY GDANSKing

There is a cheaper model (with "New Old" hardware) as well as one that is treated to look vintage. Both come with copies of Taylor's book on the guitar as well as this new Cd/DVD...

I still think Rog is just taking the "I wanna get back together" stance publicly because he knows Dave doesn't, and by doing so he can turn things around and be the "good guy" for once.

The "New Old Stock" MSRP is $3999.99 and the "Relic" model is $1800 more than that!

Re: STRICTLY GDANSKing

I gave the album a listen and it's better than I thought it would be. Especially disc 2, which I enjoyed more than DSoT or PULSE. Dave really was in top form on that day.

Re: STRICTLY GDANSKing

The version of Echoes is fantastic. I also enjoyed the contributions from the orchestra, A Pocketful of Stones is awesome.

Re: STRICTLY GDANSKing

Speaking of Gdansk and Gilmour's new signature Strat, here's a Fender promo
email I received of some interest. The ComfyNumb snippet sung by Rick is poignant considering the current circumstances.

Re: Live in Gdansk - Released in mid-September

I picked up the 5-disc version today ($20 off at Best Buy this week). What I've seen of the show so far sounds and looks great. My only problem is that they don't have the whole show on the dvd. With Rick's recent passing, I would liked to have seen Wish You Were Here on the dvd.

Echoes is fantastic, just like when I saw Dave and Rick in NYC earlier in the tour.

Re: Live in Gdansk - Released in mid-September

I got the 4-disc version - pretty good stuff.

One Q: Is Rick singing melody with BDG on Echoes, instead of harmony? Jon Carin is on harmony.

When I saw them at Radio City Music Hall, Rick and Jon sang harmony over David's vocals.

Re: Live in Gdansk - Released in mid-September

This is still getting a lot of play time in my car. BDG's guitar work on Echoes is simply exquisite!
