Re: Euro 2008

If things keep going like they have till now, Turkey will surely knock Germany out. In the last minute.

Meanwhile, my money's on Holland winning the Championship. They're simply a fantastic team.

Silly old fool! He wins a few bucks on the Grand National ( Comply or Die at 7-1!) and now he fancies himself as a tipster? The Lemon Drop kid!

Re: Euro 2008

Thanks Melo!

It's been a great championship for Spain, the rest of the teams have only scored 3 goals against us... CASILLAS!!

I was in London last week and I watched the match against Russia in a very crowded pub near Hyde Park. I was glad to see that most of the English people there cheered the Spanish team, could it be because of the presence of Torres and Fabregas?

I was not so glad to realize that my spoken English has become quite rusty and my phonetics are so very "Espanish" now...

By the way, hello again you Floydians!

Re: Euro 2008

The holidays are being fab so far. Last week I was in London "working" since it was a school trip with my students. Anyway, I must say that everything went quite well because the group of students that travelled with me is full of nice people. They have learnt a lot, specially about the cultural differences between the two countries; they have realized how noisy and disorganized we Spaniards are...

And next week I will be in a seven days cruise through the Mediterranean!!! I will visit Pompeii, something I have desired since I first watched the Pompeii concert 17 or 18 years ago.

Life is sweet

You came all the way to London and didn't even pop up to Scotland for a visit . Mrs E would have made tea for you and your students!
